With the floods and extreme weather affecting so many businesses and communities across the state, the NSW State and Australian Government have announced financial support for not-for-profits organisations, farmers and small businesses.
Storm and Flood Disaster Recovery, Small Business Grant
Small businesses and not-for-profit organisations may be eligible for a grant of up to $50,000 if they have been impacted by the storms and floods of January to March 2022. Special Disaster Grant, Primary Producers
Flood-affected primary producers are encouraged to apply for Special Disaster Grants to access financial assistance to get back operating as soon as possible. Special Disaster Grants of up to $75,000 are now available in 17 local government areas in NSW. Once approved, eligible primary producers can access $15,000 in assistance up-front, with a further $60,000 in financial assistance available upon submitting valid tax invoices. Disaster Relief Loans
Businesses in LGAs that have been declared as disaster areas may be eligible for concessional loans from the NSW Government.
• Small businesses – up to $130,000
• Not-for-profit organisations – up to $25,000.
• Sporting clubs – up to $10,000.
• Primary producers – up to $130,000 and transport subsidies up to $15,000.
